This exterior transformation is amazing! It doesn’t look like the
same house what-so-ever. This Victorian style house got a
complete overhaul to modernize it while still maintaining the
Victorian style. The modern twist is seen in the glass railing
the non-traditional brick colour and the stucco.

The living-room used to be a bedroom with a door, closet and
all. The room was changed into the formal living-room complete
with an electric fireplace and custom dark maple cabinetry
and simple display shelves. Light wall colour covers all the
walls keeping the space fresh and modern.

The dining-room was the second bedroom on the main floor
apartment. This room was changed into the formal dining-room.
New pot-lights were installed throughout the house. A modern
chrome chandelier with white shades was added to complete
the room. The hardwood flooring throughout is a beautiful
medium-stained Brazilian wood.

The kitchen went from bland to grand! New custom dark
maple cabinetry with a beautiful granite counter-top are offset by
the new stainless steel appliances and brushed chrome handles.
A new white subway tile back-splash completes the look.

This back room that faces the backyard was the living-room and
is now decorated as the family room since there is a formal
living-room at the front of the house. The room is completely open
to the kitchen and is equipped for TV viewing.

The new oak open-riser stairs allows light to flow through from the
front of the house. The glass railing compliments the exterior railing
and adds the modern touch inside. The brick that continues upstairs
brings in the old element in this Victorian-contemporary home.

The glass railing and the brick continue upstairs and are highlighted
by the ultra-modern chrome chandelier that hangs from the ceiling.
Pot-lights add more lighting to the upper hall as well as the existing
skylight during the day.

The main bathroom went from 70’s chic to beautifully contemporary.
The old tiles on the floor and tub surround were removed and replaced
with white subway tiles and a black marble detail. The faucets and
fixtures were also replaces with new modern fixtures with more
functions. The vanity and mirror were also replaced and modern
wall sconces were added for better lighting.
